You might not yet know the name of visual artist Joshua Vides, but chances are you’ll have spotted some of his work whilst scrolling through your Instagram feed.

With his distinct black and white style, Vides uses sharpie-esque doodles to turn real-life objects into 2D cartoon drawings that look straight out of a sketchbook. From footwear to Ferrari’s, he’s drawn them all - but for his first full building mural, Vides was London-bound to the new Nicce HQ to bring some Cali-style street art right to the heart of Bethnal Green.

Vides began his 2 day take over by whitewashing the front of the building, adding black bordering and details including his signature traffic cone, to complete the cartoon transformation. Be sure to head down to 238-240 Bethnal Green Road to take a look for yourself.

The Joshua Vides commission marks the start of Nicce’s dedication to working much more with both local and international creative talent. Behind Vides’ mural is the new ‘N-studio’, a dedicated space that will become a platform for creativity.  From events to galleries, workshops and more, stayed tuned to find out about up and coming events or get in touch to be involved.
