Established in 2013, NICCE emerged out of a summer spent in Ibiza by founder Mitch and friends. Inspired by the creativity of the island, they decided too to break boundaries and believed in an opportunity to bridge fashion and music. Surrounded by ambition, good music and a network of supporters – NICCE was born.
The brand name derived from the go-to phrase amongst friends: “Niiiiiice”. Used to signify appreciation and support for others. A quick play around with the letters and they quickly set on NICCE.
Now, there’s a lot of discussion around how you pronounce NICCE and we welcome them all. Up at HQ, you’ll hear us use “nee-chee” (think “peachy”). 10 years later and no one still quite knows!
Back in the UK and the summer dream didn’t get left behind. Fuelled by the traction around the brand back on the white island, the NICCE team got straight to work setting up in a Hackney bedroom and continuing to handout self-printed t-shirts to artists, DJs and their community.
Within the year, the brand was popular within youth audiences and grew distribution with UK retailers, expanding in styles whilst launching their first website. Exploding onto the scene, NICCE leaned into its London identity to cut through and win over exciting emerging talent from the music and DJ world.
By the mid-2010s, NICCE was finding new ways to reach its audience – popping up with a retail store in Shoreditch, alongside events with music artists. DJ Skream joined at one of the popular East London nights, with an iconic DJ set, and music artists took over with album listening parties with Yung Fume and Novelist.
Music and community remained at the core of the brand, with continued support for grassroots talent. In 2018 they moved to Bethnal Green Road, partnering with artist Joshua Vides to design the building and the team opened a recording studio inside the office!
Over this time, NICCE ramped up International efforts, diversified their collections, collaborated with designers including Mary Lou and Boy Long and capitalized on the casual streetwear movement. Trending styles included the Vind jacket, festival season accessories are always a hit, and the brand moved towards a sustainable future, including collaborations with Lydia Bolton and Ethilution.
With equal measure graft and good times, it’s a testament to everyone involved that we get to celebrate 10 years of NICCE.
Looking ahead? NICCE continues to put its community first and retain that lively, neighbourhood spirit we’ve all grown to love. And in the background, we’re already prepping ourselves for the next 10 and beyond. Whether it’s an emerging sound, new designer, or a bedroom project; we’re here to celebrate all forms of neighbourhood creativity.

]]>The first iteration of our partnering has breathed new life into what is traditionally understood as waste. Introducing the NICCE AB.01 Backpack and NICCE AB.01 Crossbody Bag, launching April 2023.
A car airbag that is used once, cannot be used again. NICCE and Ethilution are bringing a circular mindset to waste and have up-cycled the material to raise awareness of sustainability and innovate within fashion.
The bags have been designed to fulfil both style and functional needs of the wearer:
To note, each bag will be a slightly different colour and unique in design - resulting from the material used. The product trims and fasteners have been donated from leftover production within NICCE’s business, to avoid creating anew.
The capsule collection will be available to purchase online in April. Each bag is limited edition, with a limited run created.
NICCE AB.01 Backpack £140.00
NICCE AB.01 Crossbody Bag £100.00
We worked with creators to capture both the crossbody bag and backpack, styled for active lifestyles.
NICCE are on a journey to becoming a more responsible company, for our people and planet. Find out more about sustainability at NICCE.
Ethilution breathes new life into the discarded, redesigning waste into accessories. Together we are challenging the preconceived idea that items that have had their intended use are finished.
]]>To celebrate International Women's Day 2023, Nicce and Capital XTRA presenter Shayna Marie are calling on emerging talent to nominate themselves or a friend to receive an exclusive 121 masterclass in the studio.
Head over to NICCE on Instagram to explore and enter 🔗 T&Cs apply. Competition ends Friday 17th March 2023.

We had the opportunity to catch up with Shayna Marie on her journey, inspirations, and goals.
Shayna Marie started out in radio around 8 years ago and emerged through different stations on her rise to Capital XTRA, naming underground station Pulse 88 and Westside where she built on her passion and honed her craft.
Broadcast played an influential role in her early life, with her father in radio and then growing up with presenters including Dotty and Jenny Francis paving the way as female talent. Their effortless, true-to-themselves style inspired herself and her peers. She values highly the support women within the industry share for one another. Shayna Marie also enjoys looking back at how she experienced radio when young, and recognising the role it plays for millions around the country, as part of their daily routine, and the part she can now play in reaching people through the medium.
Outside of radio, you’ll find Shayna Marie DJ-ing on weekends. A self-described social butterfly, she enjoys spending time with friends and expressing her love of music. Whether that’s clubs, bars and festivals. She also acknowledges her love of fitness, which she describes as the balance she needs in her life. Enjoying the likes of spin and pilates classes.
And how do you stay motivated with lots going on?! Shayna Marie shared that she’s passionate about being able to look back and know she had a great time. She encourages people to stay true to themselves – knowing their goal, their path and their purpose.

]]>Marylou’s ‘Blossom’ series sees a range of female characters entwined with graphic and abstract flower shapes in bright pink and green colourways. The title for the series references spring, the artist’s favourite season, and the growth and ‘blossoming’ of the characters she depicts. The female form portrayed in the series stretches and struts against tight crops of block colours and floral forms in a world of her own, celebrating freedom and self-expression.
Marylou’s cheeky characters feature across classic and colourful NICCE silhouettes, clothing that Marylou’s states “is bold, fresh and vibrant, and completely fits with the vibe of the artwork.” Oversized hoodies and tees see prints applied in both flat and three-dimensional puff prints for added graphic depth. Contrast colour finishes on embroidered details and dipped draw cord ends enhance the artworks pop colouring.
As part of the collaboration, Marylou has taken over the NICCE headquarters in Bethnal Green with her signature style. ‘Blossom’ murals line the outside walls of the brand’s offices and N-studio event space, where an exhibition of the artist series collection will be on show, on loan from Woodbury House Art, and available to view by appointment only from 21st May- 3rd June. ]]>A year ago, the world locked down and getting outside became more important to us than ever. To celebrate the launch of our new collection, and as part of our ongoing partnership with the London based biking community Bikestormz, we headed out with riders Kai, Liam, Ree and Danz as they explore the great outdoors together.
Shot on the streets surrounding our headquarters in Bethnal Green, East London, and the contrasting woodland of Epping Forest, the campaign explores themes of finding space out of lockdown, exploring surroundings, and the power of community.
From concrete high-rises to the contrasting open spaces of woodland, the campaign follows the group interacting with their environments, and sharing the experience together. Spotlighting four BikeStormz members as they adventure around London for the day on their bikes, a common ground that has brought them together, we hear from founder Mac Ferrari-Guy about the positive impact and power of the Bikestormz community.
“What Bikestormz has done for the young people I’ve seen over the last 6 years is give them a sense of belonging. It’s so much more than just riding. The bikes are a way to hang out, to talk, to connect, they are another way to communicate. It isn't just a ride. It’s not just about bikes, it's a way people can create a different future for themselves.”
Following the campaign launch, we will continue to support BikeStormz community through N-Studio – our not for profit creative platform. “They see our potential and they believe that everyone deserves a chance, no matter their past. All of this, will help them open more doors and open up more opportunities for the guys. Give them more tools. I’m gassed about this collaboration because it’s even more proof to the boys that they can make their dreams happen.”
